Anyone who thinks he is the fan of Android marks three dates on the calendar CES Las Vegas, IFA Berlin and the MWC Barcelona. Now with the MWC just around the corner we give the preview of the Grand event where more than 2000 companies and Start-ups launch their product.

Where and when is MWC 2017?

Each and every year MWC(Mobile World Congress) is held in Barcelona, Spain at two venues: Fira Gran Via and Fira Montjuïc.

When is it?

Every year its at the end of February, Continuing its tradition this year it will be from 27 Feb to 2nd of March. General event open hours are from 9:00 to 19:00.

Who will be there?

An estimated 2,200 crowd of exhibitors are expected to be at the event, including major tech brands such as Lenovo, Google, Samsung, Intel, HTC and Microsoft. Brands including Sony, LG and Huawei will reportedly unveil new flagship smartphones while mobile operators such as O2 and Vodafone will also bring something new to the industry. Unlike every other tech company Apple like every other year will not be seen. So don’t expect to see something with the Apple logo on it. Apple has always  believed to launch their product at their own event. But like the every other year Apple’s arch rival Samsung is expected to showcase its latest Galaxy Tab S3.

What can we expect at MWC 2017?

Aside from the latest innovations it will house, the MWC will also host a series of lectures, keynote speeches and round-table discussions with the big names in the industry. This year, the confirmed lineup of keynote speaker consists of Netflix founder and CEO Reed Hastings, Niantic founder and CEO John Hanke and President and CEO of Nokia Rajeev Suri.
