The OnePlus 9RT was unveiled in India on January 14 during the Winter Edition Launch event. Last week, OnePlus introduced its next-generation OnePlus 10 smartphone in China. 

The latest OnePlus 9RT is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 processor and has three cameras on the back, one of which is 50-megapixels in resolution. The OnePlus Buds Z2 true wireless stereo (TWS) earbuds were also announced. They are equipped with active noise cancellation (ANC) technology.

Price and availability of the OnePlus 9RT and OnePlus Buds Z2 in India:

OnePlus 9RT costs Rs. 42,999 for the 8GB/128GB variant and Rs. 46,999 for the 12GB/1256GB variant in India. 

The OnePlus Buds Z2 will be available in black and white on Amazon, Flipkart, the company’s official website, and partner shops starting January 18. It will cost you around Rs. 4,999

Specifications of the OnePlus 9RT:

On the inside, the OnePlus 9RT is powered by Android 11 with the company’s OxygenOS 11 skin layered on top for a seamless user experience. With an eight-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 processor and up to 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 256GB of inbuilt UFS 3.1 storage, the OnePlus 9RT is one of the most formidable smartphones on the market. 

In contrast to the original OnePlus 9, which uses the very same Chipset, the new OnePlus 9RT has the company’s new “Space Cooling” feature as well as a deeper heating element, which the company says will result in greater thermal management and enhanced performance.

The display supports HDR10+ and has both sRGB and DCI: P3 color options, in addition to HDR10+ support. DCI P3 color spectrum coverage offers accurate colors. 

The OnePlus 9RT will come in Hacker Black and Nano Silver and can be bought on Amazon, the company’s website, and in official oneplus stores. The smartphone will be available for purchase on January 17 at 12 p.m. IST as part of the Amazon Great Indian Republic Day sale.

The OnePlus 9RT has a 50-megapixel Sony IMX766 main camera sensor with an f/1.8 lens as part of its triple-camera arrangement on the back of the device. The main camera is equipped with optical image stabilization (OIS) and is capable of recording video in 4K at 60 frames per second. 

There’s also an ultrawide camera with an f/2.2 lens and a 123-degree field of view on the OnePlus 9RT. A small 2-megapixel camera is also present for macro shooting on the device. With an f/2.4 lens, the Sony IMX471 16 megapixel selfie camera sensor on the OnePlus 9RT captures enhanced photos in especially in the low light conditions. 

The OnePlus 9RT is powered by a 4,500mAh battery that is capable of 65W fast charging thanks to the company’s Warp Charge 65T technology, which is powered via USB Type-C. With 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 6, and Bluetooth 5.2 connection, as well as GPS/ A-GPS and NFC capabilities, the smartphone is a powerful performer. The OnePlus 9RT is 8.29mm thin in size and has a weight of around 199 grams, which makes it a bulky smartphone.

The earbuds incorporate support for active noise cancellation (ANC) for noises up to 40dB, which was not available on its predecessor.

The OnePlus Buds Z2 is equipped with a Bluetooth v5.2 interface and also has a latency of 94 milliseconds (the older OnePlus Buds Z offered a latency of 103ms). The earbuds are equipped with three built-in microphones for phone calls as well as ANC capability.

According to OnePlus, the new earbuds have a unique transparency mode that allows users to hear noises in their immediate environment while wearing them. Both the new OnePlus Buds Z2 and the charging case have been rated IP55 for dust and water protection, while the charging case has been rated IPX4 for water resistance. The earphones are equipped with rudimentary touch controls for controlling music and managing calls.

The OnePlus Buds Z2 earbuds are equipped with 40mAh batteries that, according to OnePlus, would provide up to seven hours of music listening time. The charging case is equipped with a 520mAh battery, which increases the overall battery life of the OnePlus Buds Z2 to 38 hours in total.

The single earbud weighs in around 4.6gm whereas the case weighs 46gm in weight. The case has a dimension of 73.15mm*36.8mm*29.1mm.
