Freedom 251, the smartphone which was the center of attraction of many people from around the world. It gained many headlines, few said it is impossible to build a phone at just at 4$, few said it is a well-planned scam.
The official shipment date of the phone has been changed many times before. First, the shipping date was declared for April then changed to June 28, And Now 30 June.
Leaving all that behind the company Ringing Bells announced that the shipping of the Freedom 251 will be starting from 30th June. The company received near around 7 crore registrations. In the first phase around 2 lakh units will be shipped by 4-5 July.
Still, there is no official announcement regarding the next shipments.
Talking about the specs the phone comes with a 4-inches WVGA IPS display. The phone runs on a 1.3 GHz Quad Core processor with 1GB RAM. At the storage side, the phone comes with an 8GB internal memory.
The phone sports a 3.2MP camera at the back and a 0.3MP VGA front camera. The phone is powered by a 1450 mAh battery capacity. The phone is available only in White color.
